Refund policy
Understanding our classes cancellations policy (Cancellations by customer)
We are a (very) small business. When you register for a place in one of our popular classes, the place is reserved for you. It’s difficult to fill spots with late notice and can consume considerable time.
So, we follow standard industry practice of no refunds (for any reason, including sickness, medical or family. Australian Consumer Law standard rights apply.) and credit only if cancelled with more than two (2) weeks notice.* Any credit process will incur a $20 admin fee. If you need to cancel within two (2) weeks, you are very welcome to send someone in your place.
Sometimes, with at least a few days notice, we can see if anyone is on our waiting list and available. If we can fill the place, we will provide a credit minus $40 admin fee.
We appreciate this isn’t what most people want to hear/read. But we hope you appreciate your cancellation (and all the others) would mean significant lost income for us.
We thank you for your support for us to ‘put bread on the table’ and hope to help you put some bread on yours too!
(Cancellations by Baker's Treat Baking School)
We do our best to avoid class cancellations (by Baker's Treat). In the rare event we cancel a class due to sickness, emergency, or insufficient class numbers we will offer your choice of a full refund or credit. We will always try to give as much notice as possible and strive to maintain scheduled classes.
Any questions or clarifications? We'd be glad to chat!
