"I bake many of my sourdough loaves in these tins. Several tins fit in the oven together and the loaf is a convenient size for sandwiches or toasting." (Matthew - founder & baker)
Loaf tins are an excellent option for a tidy loaf shape and a consistent slice of bread.
Tins are also helpful for beginning bakers as the dough is risen and baked in the tin, so it has the support through the entire process. For free-form (not baked in a tin) loaves a banneton can be helpful. These pans are popular for all types of bread, especially sourdough loaves.
